Thank you for registering in the 2022 Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts

While we fully intended to have a ‘live’ festival, this is no longer possible due to COVID.

All KFPA 2022 disciplines will be virtual.

Video recordings and PDFs will no longer be uploaded through the Solarislive registration system. KFPA will email all participants instructions for “Video Recording Production” and deadline dates. PDFs of music or text will be requested later if needed. These instructions will also be available through the LINK at the right and on our website: www.kfpa.ca.

While we encourage all participants to perform virtually, should you wish to cancel your registration, refunds must be requested by email to finance@kfpa.ca prior to February 4th midnight.  Please include all registration details including payment date, as well as the name on the payment credit card.

With the safety of our participants, adjudicators, parents and volunteers in mind, KFPA continues to support The COMMITMENT to Practise, The OPPORTUNITY to Participate, The PASSION to Perform.

Please check our website at www.kfpa.ca for updated information.

COPYRIGHT ACT
Bill C-11 – 2012
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please see General Rule 23.

All performers, including accompanists, MUST adhere to the Copyright Act. The Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts will not tolerate the use of any illegally produced materials. It is the participant’s responsibility to provide legally produced materials for the adjudicator, for himself/herself, if needed, and for the accompanist, if any. It is up to the performer to provide proof of authorization for any materials that may appear to be copies by accompanying such materials with a purchase receipt, a letter of permission from the copyright holder, or proof of legally acquired public domain materials.

In most cases, it is highly encouraged that written permission is granted from the copyright holder to copy accompanist’s pages to facilitate page turns. One exception is Frederick Harris Music Co., which grants permission for performers to copy one (1) to two (2) pages per RCM Publication to facilitate page turns in festival performances.

ACCOMPANISTS, DIRECTORS, GROUPS, AND SOLOISTS MUST USE ORIGINAL/AUTHORIZED COPIES IN PERFORMANCE HALLS.
