PRISMA PERFORMING OPPORTUNITY
PRISMA has offered an opportunity for selected participants in our festival to perform with a guest pianist in an April 12 concert and to introduce master classes at its 2019 event.
Edward Sungpil Kim is returning for his fifth time and is an audience favourite.
Two performers will be invited to be part of his concert, playing for up to six minutes each at the beginning. They will be selected from piano, strings or instrumental.
In addition, several speech arts participants will be invited to take part in master classes taking place June 17 to 29.
Amateur performers in piano, voice, strings, wind and brass instruments, speech arts, amateur choirs, bands, string and jazz ensembles, and dance are invited to perform in the Powell River Festival of the Performing Arts.
The festival is based on the fundamental idea of providing all participants with the best possible support for their artistic development. The festival is strongly committed to the philosophy that performance is a vital opportunity to learn and pursue excellence.
In keeping with this philosophy participants will receive participation certificates only.
