The Squamish Community Music Festival is an adjudicated workshop where students may be selected to represent our District at the Provincial level.
Music teachers use the syllabus, which outlines the various classes that are offered, to select repertoire and begin preparing students for the Festival. The Festival gives students studying private voice and piano an opportunity to workshop their pieces for the adjudicator and receive verbal and written adjudication. Students also receive a certificate with Bronze, Silver, or Gold placement. The Festival provides encouragement and insight for students preparing for the Royal Conservatory of Music exams.
The 2023 Syllabus is located under Rules and Regulations on the right-hand side of the home page. Additional information can be found on the 2023 Addendum in the FAQ section, also on the right-hand side of the home page.
